Plant your forsythia best in early spring
The best planting season for forsythia
Basically you can plant forsythia during the whole garden year. Only the midsummer is not a good planting time. However, the spring flower will thrive best if you bring it to earth in early spring.
When do you best plant the forsythia?
Although the forsythia is absolutely hardy, it needs time to grow properly before the winter.
The best planting time is therefore the early spring. Once the soil is frost-free, raise a planting hole that is twice as large as the root ball.
If you plant the forsythia in the fall, you should provide winter protection in the first year.
Tips & Tricks
Forsythia is compatible with almost all other plants in the garden. As far as the location is concerned, you do not have to take any account of other plants.
