With a disinfect, sharp scissors cut out now all sick, dead roots out. If more than 30 percent of the root volume is lost, trim the branches proportionately by one third. Spice up your troubled birch fig into a high-quality, peat-free potting soil containing coconut fibers, bark humus and lava granules. The root disk should end up a few inches below the edge of the pot, so that nothing spills over during casting. Pour the Benjamini pervasively and place them in a partially shaded, warm window seat.
If the nutrient reserves in the plant soil are used up after 6 weeks, fertilize every 2 weeks in summer and every 6 weeks in winter with a liquid fertilizer for green plants.
