Increase false jasmine over cuttings
False jasmine can be propagated either by seeds or cuttings. Propagation by seeds is not recommended, because the seeds germinate badly. It is much easier to cut cuttings and root them in potting soil.

Cutting cuttings in June
Cuttings cut after flowering from June. Select half lignified shoots with a length of about 20 centimeters.
The lower leaves must be removed as they rot in the soil. The top leaves should be cut in half so that the cuttings can use all their power for rooting.
Cut at least twice the amount of cuttings from the shrubbery than you actually need. Not every cuttings are well rooted.
Prepare cultivation soil
Many gardeners recommend that the cuttings in a mixture of sand and garden soil to stick. In most cases, the propagation works well, if you just put them in a sheltered place in the garden floor.
Pull cuttings in the cultivation bed or pots?
You can either grow the false jasmine cuttings outdoors in a nursery bed or put them in prepared pots.
If you pull the cuttings directly in the garden, ensure a good winter protection, since the shoots are not hardy enough.
When growing in a pot, overwinter the cuttings in a cellar that is not too dark.
Maintain cuttings properly
The cuttings of False Jasmine must not dry out. The best way to prevent it from drying out is to put a transparent plastic bag, such as a freezer bag, over the cuttings.
However, the wrapping must be ventilated frequently, otherwise there is a risk that the cuttings rot.
Plant out next spring
Already the following spring, the cuttings have developed roots and can be planted in the intended location.
You need a little patience until the first flower. Wrong jasmine from cuttings blooms after two to four years.
Tips
Rooting Powder for the interfaces is not necessary with False Jasmine. The cuttings are usually rooted easily without additional treatment.
