Euphorbia in winter - overwinter the magic snow?
The Euphorbia Diamond Frost is also known to many fans of balcony perennials under the name "magic snow". However, this name describes the visual effect of the numerous, small flowers and should not be misunderstood as a statement about the frost tolerance.
The magic snow does not appreciate real snow at all
Since the Euphorbia 'Diamond Frost' is not hardy at minus temperatures, it is usually sold as a one-year balcony plant in the specialized trade.Specimens fetched too late in winter quarters can also be damaged and muddy even after slight frost at night. If the magic snow is to be successfully brought through the winter, the temperatures must be at least 8 degrees Celsius or warmer.

In summer, the magic snow with direct sunlight copes well, in winter quarters it should be despite sufficient brightness but rather an indirect light. The direct sunlight can otherwise be harmful due to the associated temperature fluctuations.
Tips
In winter quarters it can occasionally come to the magic snow with an infection with spider mites. With Botrytis (a mold) infected specimens must be disposed of immediately, so that the fungal disease can not spread to other plants.
