The humidity must not be too high, so that the leaves do not begin to mold. Particularly well suited is a dry attic.


Dry in the oven

You can also dry the leaves in the oven. However, you should know your oven well. Do not turn the temperature too high, otherwise the delicate leaves will burn. About 30 - 40 ° C are completely sufficient.

Leave the oven door open a bit. This works best with a wooden spoon clamped in between. So the moisture can escape better and the leaves dry faster. Keep an eye on the drying process and remove the tarragon from the oven as soon as it has dried.

Storage of dried tarragon

After cooling, fill your dried tarragon with a screwdriver and store it dark and cool. Ideal are dark glasses, they protect the contents from the influence of light. So the tarragon holds a few months.
