On the pH-value it depends
The soil around the roots of the dragon tree should, with its pH value, be as close as possible to a pH of 6 in the slightly acidic range. This value can be achieved by the mixture of commercially available potting soil with a little peat, whereby the test can be done by means of appropriate test strips relatively uncomplicated. As potting soil with a certain amount of peat tends to "collapse" over time, dragon trees should be replanted almost every year.
