Indoor calla of onions can either be hibernated with or without a pot. Varieties that have evergreen foliage are always brought in the pot over the winter. What to look out for when you overwinter the calla in the pot.
Keep cool and dry
After flowering, the plant needs a rest period during which it is neither watered nor fertilized. Place the pot with the room calla in a cool, light and dry place. Well suited
Repot in spring
From January you get used to the plant slowly back to the heat. Cover them with fresh soil to avoid diseases.
Tips & Tricks
If you overwinter your calla in the pot, check leaves or tubers regularly. In the winter quarters, spider mites like to spread on the leaves. The tubers can rot or mold if they get too wet.
