To multiply a bob by dividing or cutting cuttings
It is so easy to multiply the easy-care bob head that even beginners have no problems with it. There are two ways to increase the popular, non-toxic houseplant. To multiply a bobbed head properly.
So simply multiply a bobbed head
There are two simple ways to increase a bob. Either divide the plant into several pieces or you can cut cuttings that will root you into substrate.
Both types almost always work. To share you need a bigger plant. The root ball must at least be so large that it fills out a hand.
Increase bobbed head by root division
The division of the bobbed head is probably the easiest way to multiply the plant. It lends itself to when the bob is already older and needs to be rejuvenated.
The best time to share is early spring. Make sure that enough fiber roots remain on each section.
Plant the bob head offshoots in not too deep planters. The substrate is loose potting soil.
Cutting cuttings
Cuttings can be cut in spring or summer. The individual shoots should have a length of five to six centimeters. The lower leaves are removed.
Prepare seed pots with loose, not too nutritious soil. Insert the cuttings and gently push them on. Keep the substrate evenly moist. Place the cuttings in a bright, warm place, but not directly in the sun.
To make the cuttings rooted faster, place a clear plastic bag over it. This must be ventilated once a day so that neither substrate nor cuttings rot. Once roots have formed, plant the small bobbed heads in normal garden soil and continue to cultivate them like adult plants.
Sowing a bob is difficult
The propagation of the bob by sowing is not easy. This begins with the fact that virtually no seeds are available and the plant hardly flowers in room culture.

The bob is not so popular for nothing. It is absolutely easy to care for and can be excellently cut into shape.
