Often it is still to be read that the bob head contains toxins that could be dangerous for children and pets. That is not correct.
The bob is not poisonous - there are no toxins in any of its parts! It can therefore be cared for in households with children and animals.
So you do not have to take any precautions when keeping the plant in the house. The wearing of gloves when cutting or repotting is therefore superfluous.
Tips
The bob head belongs to the family of nettle plants. Unlike the known stinging nettles, however, it does not carry any fine hairs that trigger the burning sensation on the skin.
