Blood beech trees are usually planted in the fall, in October or November. The tree is hardy and needs a light winter protection only in the first year.
If you plant the beech trees in the fall, you almost do not have to worry about caring. It is usually so humid that the tree roots well. Only in very dry times is a regular watering recommended.
Tips
Blood beech trees are particularly good in a sunny spot. When the sun shines on the brown-red foliage, the tree seems to glow. In shady locations, however, the leaves are slightly larger.
