The sycamore develops its sublime stature and picturesque crown without the gardener's intervention. If the number of beet under the maple species nevertheless breaks the spatial dimensions, you can limit the growth with the pair of scissors. Early in the year, the sycamore map has a strong sap flow that prohibits drastic pruning. The classic cut-date for woody plants in early spring has no validity for an Acer pseudoplatanus. In the summer, the sap flow decreases noticeably. However, the Federal Nature Conservation Act prohibits profound cutting measures from 1 March to 30 September. How to do it right:

In late autumn and early winter is the right time to auszulichten a too dense crown. Remove dead branches at the base. When making the cut, make sure that the astring is not injured. On this occasion, please also cut branches that are directed into the interior of the crown. If there are two competing peaks, the weaker shoot should be sawn as close to the trunk as possible on Astring.

Tips
The most important pruning of its long tree life is obtained by a sycamore immediately after planting. If you have decided on a young plant as a substrate-free root product or bale material, the excavation in the nursery will result in the loss of abundant root mass. You can compensate for this loss by cutting all shoots by about a third.
