Cyclamen that are allowed to grow outside are so euphoric that they like to multiply themselves - by self-sowing. The disadvantage of sowing is generally with this plant, that it takes between 3 and 4 years, until blossoms appear for the first time. The reason: The cyclamen sets first on its tuber formation.
Their seeds mature between May and June. Some species then curl their stems with the ripe seeds down and drill the seeds into the soil. In other species, it is more common to burst the fruit and release the seeds so that they are distributed by the wind.
