Cypresses are at home in warmer regions. In Germany, they thrive really well only in locations where it is not too cold in winter and not too rainy.
The demands on the location are:
Maintain sufficient planting distance
Plant cypress trees that are at least one meter away from walls, buildings and utility lines. The distance to the neighboring property is regulated by the municipal ordinance.
Tips
At the site of the cypress it should not come to waterlogging, because this brings the roots to rot and fungal attack. If necessary, drain before planting.
