Correctly freeze sweetcorn - and then?

Sweet corn should be harvested in time for consumption. Depending on the variety, the pistons mature between the end of July and the beginning of September. Take the test for milk maturity. Simply press with your fingernail into a seed. When milky white juice comes out, the flask is perfectly ripe.
Peel and clean the corncobs
After the sweet corn has been harvested, it should be processed within 8 hours. Peel off the outer bracts. In addition, the brown threads (former style of the female flowers) should be removed.
The piston end is cut off with a knife. If the piston tip is poorly formed or already dried, it should also be cut off. Now the pistons are washed when they are still dirty.
