If summer heat and high humidity come together, the delicate tomato shell will not cope with the fluctuations. The skin bursts in many places without reaching deep into the flesh. How to avoid the damage:
If there is a high level of humidity under a rain cover, there is a risk of infestation with the late blight. Leave one side open.
Correct star-shaped tears on tomatoes
Tomato plants prefer a consistent consistency in their water and nutrient supply. Swings in one direction or the other cause bursting fruit, with the image of damage revealing a star in this case.
This is not the case if you water tomato plants as evenly as possible. Once the surface of the earth dries, it is poured. Strong dehydration and correspondingly intensive casting causes unsightly cracks on the tomato peel.

If the shell of tomatoes bursts in circles, this indicates too intense sunlight. This damage occurs in particular if too many sheets have been removed, for example as part of a cutback. There is therefore a lack of sufficient shading. It is best to bring out a large umbrella at once and protect the tomato plant from further sunburn.
