The sweet dumplings prefer to stand in the shade
The right location for the sweet dumplings
Hardy and hardy is the sweet dumpling that once came to us from the Alps and Pyrenees. The plant used as a medicinal plant, in the kitchen and for the production of liqueur makes no great demands on its location.
Partly shady location preferred
The sweet dard likes it half shady. Wind and rain do not do much for the robust plant.
Especially good you get a moist substrate that resembles the forest floor. If necessary, you can enrich the soil with some peat or pine needles.
If you do not have a suitable half-shady spot in the garden, the sweet thistle will thrive in a sunny spot. Even sandy soil tolerates it. You only need to water them more often.
Tips
The sweet dolly reaches a good location at 1.80 meters high and 1.50 meters wide. Since it takes up quite a lot of space, you should not put more than two plants per square meter.
