The motivation of most pond owners is not necessarily that they want to have the water very warm, but it is a (almost) year-round use of the pool, aimed at at least from the beginning of spring.
Warm water extends the bathing season
Since the natural pool is usually divided into a separate bathing and regeneration area anyway, it can be assumed that pond water can safely be heated up to 28 ° C, without any existing planting being damaged. Nevertheless, one must be aware that it comes with increasing water temperature to increased formation of pathologically harmful germs, so that allergies or health less stable bathers could get problems. Therefore, especially in the swimming area, it is necessary to ensure a uniform flow of warm water in order to avoid the so-called "dead zones", which are particularly susceptible to the spread of pathogens and algae.

For a continuous warming of the pond water, not only a well thought-out pipe system is needed, but also the control technology has to be perfectly tuned to the water quantity as well as the dimensioning of a functioning filter system. The following systems are used as a possible heat source:

Tips
Since a possible contamination is to be excluded for hygienic reasons, one must not use the water from the pond area by the way for the heat circulation within the floating pond heating according to German law, so that fresh water must be regularly supplied into the system.
