The ranunculus has faded - and now?
Already in May, the buds have opened and unfolded their delicate petals. For several weeks, the flowers just looked fantastic with their dazzling colors and shapes. But just because your ranunculus has now withered does not mean it has to be disposed of now!
Flower end - when?
Usually Ranunculus see their flowering end in July. Depending on whether the withered flowers were removed regularly, the flowering time lasts more or less long. Some Ranunculus have been so spent in June that they will not bloom any further.

Smart plant lovers do not give up so quickly, but rather pull the flower out. How it works? It should work with these hints:

If you have done your utmost to extend the flowering period, the flowering will eventually be over. Latest at the beginning of August, the last flowers have adopted. Now it's time for you to change care.
For one thing, all faded flowers should now be cut off. Now the leaves are yellowish and dry up quickly. They too are removed. The tuber extracts the last nutrients from the plant parts. Therefore, you can fertilize the plant until the leaves are yellowed.
Furthermore, the casting should be throttled at the end of the flowering period. The earth does not have to be kept moist anymore. In order to be well prepared for the wintertime, it is advisable to now and then let the soil of the ranunculus dry. That's the signal for the tuber to stop driving.
Tips
If your ranunculus does not bloom, it may be because it is too dry.
