Place yew at the correct planting distance
Yews are planted both as a single tree and in the hedge. Even as an enclosure for grave sites, the evergreen conifer can be used. As a solitary tree, they provide a particularly decorative sight if they are not placed too close to other trees.
What is the planting distance for yew trees?
The planting distance for yew trees depends on whether you plant a columnar for example for a hedge or another type of yew.
Columnar discs form less pronounced crowns and can therefore be set closer. Individual trees need more space, especially if they are pulled as Formgehölze. They only really come into their own.
Planting distance as a solitary tree
If you plan to cut the yew into shape, leave enough space for other trees. Only then is the tree a real eye-catcher.
Two meters planting distance are sufficient, because yews grow relatively slowly.

Tips
