Do not panic if your Passiflora suddenly gets yellow leaves, usually there are no dangerous diseases behind it. With a little extra care, the passion flower feels good again.

In spring and summer occurring yellow leaves in a Passiflora are usually an indication of either too much or too little water. Especially when waterlogged you should be careful, because the plant does not like it at all. Therefore, ensure a good drainage in the pot, for example by a layer of expanded clay under the actual substrate. Even the passion flower does not get, because it needs just in the flowering time a lot of water - the plant is one of the heavyweights. Therefore, in the summer you better fertilize the Passiflora weekly instead, as stated in many guidebooks, only every two weeks. Then you will be rewarded with many beautiful flowers.
Tips & Tricks
In autumn and winter a few yellow leaves are perfectly normal. Pluck them off as soon as you notice them.
