Transplanting pampas grass - that's how it's done!
If the pampas grass has grown too large or is in the wrong place, moving the perennial can not always be avoided. The ornamental grass can be transplanted easily, but you have to use a lot of physical strength.
The right time to transplant
The best time to transplant pampas grass is spring, after cutting it back. The implementation at a later date is not recommended because of the sharp leaves - certainly not if the plant is very large.
Theoretically, you can transplant pampas grass in autumn, too. Then tie the stalks together at the top so you do not get hurt.
