How to cut your yucca properly
With a sharp knife or a small saw you can cut your Yucca at the desired height. Seal the cut surface to prevent germs from entering the wound. It's best to use tree wax. A healthy yucca will sprout new in a short time and soon be just as beautiful as before the cut. Plant the cut piece of yucca in fresh soil. So you have a new houseplant right away.
If your yucca has grown particularly high, then you can also cut the stem into several pieces and plant them. These should be about 20 - 30 cm long. Make sure, however, that you place the parts in the pot in the correct direction and do not plant them with the top edge in the soil. If necessary, mark the trunk at the upper cutting edge before splitting.

Always seal the upper edges of the different sections. Then plant the parts in fresh potting soil or potting soil, which you first mix with a little sand. After you have watered the cuttings well, cover the pots with transparent foil. In about three to four weeks, the first new shoots should show up in a warm, bright place.
