Orchids are becoming the most popular houseplants because they boast of tropical flower abundance on the windowsill. Of course, the queen of flowers does not accept every flower board behind glass. Find out which criteria would be the ideal location for orchids here.

Before selecting the location for an orchid, please take a look at the light and temperature conditions in the habitat. Most of the flowers thrive as epiphytes in the rainforest. Here they perch high up on the branches of giant trees, with the dense foliage softening the strong sun. The better the location on the windowsill simulates these conditions, the more opulent the flowers are:
For the floral showcases, the west and east windowsill are therefore perfectly suitable. If a curtain or awning catches the midday sun in summer, the south window sill is also an option. To offer orchids a tropical air humidity at the same time, we recommend a bright window seat in the bathroom. For a low-light location on the north window, however, only a few shade-tolerant orchid species are really prepared.
