Moss in the flowerbed has one main reason: It finds ideal growing conditions and therefore spreads out unabashedly. Use the tines of the device to prick the bed regularly at regular intervals and shake it back and forth. Be careful not to damage any roots. In addition, the soil can loosen superficially, for example with the help of a hoe.
Fertilizing / liming
Moss prefers acidic and nutrient-poor soil. You therefore effectively combat the green carpet with garden lime, which you prefer to apply directly to the previously loosened soil in spring. But beware: Not all shrubs and shrubs can tolerate lime! The regular fertilization, such as in the spring and in the early summer compost and horn shavings spend, the moss gradually disappears.
Tips
Also effective against moss is the use of special eggs. However, you should use this only if there is actually an iron deficiency (perform soil analysis). In addition, iron sulphate is toxic and should therefore be used with care.
