When does the snapdragon bloom?
The snapdragon is among those flowering plants that have been native to our gardens for hundreds of years. Easy to clean and robust, it adorns with beautiful flowers whose shape remind of the mouth of a lion and helped the plant to get its catchy name. But what months is the height of the perennial?
Extremely long flowering time
The snapdragon opens the first buds already in May and can bloom in the right weather until November. The only prerequisite for this very long flowering period is that you regularly remove the flower that has been sprouted, so that the snapdragon can put all its power into flowering and not into seedling.
Tips
Too dark, shady locations inhibit the growth of the plant and cause it hardly flowers sets. Ideal are a full sun or a place in the light shade.
