The Lanzenrosette (Aechmea) is one of the interesting and very easy-care ornamental plants. You can not do much wrong with the care of this ornamental plant belonging to the bromeliads. What matters when cultivating lance rosettes.
What should be considered when casting a lance rosette?
Lance rosettes need high humidity, regular watering, but tolerate no waterlogging.
Always pour the substrate only when the surface is well dry. In the center of the plant is the so-called cistern, which must always be filled with water. Regular spraying increases the humidity.
Use lime-free, lukewarm water, preferably rainwater for pouring and spraying.
Do you need to fertilize lance roses?
As an epiphyte, the lance rosette needs only few nutrients. Fertilization is therefore superfluous. If you do not want to do without fertilizing, pour heavily diluted liquid fertilizer into the cistern every two weeks from April to September.
