If an empty aquarium is already in your possession, you do not need to reach deep into your bag for your glass cactus garden. These materials are needed:
Please clean all materials with hot water before they come into contact with the cacti. Place the cactus soil in a refractory dish on the middle rack of the oven for 20 minutes to sterilize at 150 degrees.
Plant cacti in the aquarium - How to do it right
When all the materials are ready, including the cooled cactus soil, planting is child's play. How to proceed:
Put the cacti in the small pits and press the earth slightly, so that no air holes are formed. Finally, spread a thin layer of clay granules, small pebbles or grit over the cactus soil. Move the aquarium to a sunny, warm location where it can not get under the blazing midday sun.
After recovering from stress, the cacti are first poured with lime-free water after 5 to 8 days. Since commercial substrate is usually pre-fertilized, the nutrient supply begins at the earliest after 6 weeks.
Tips
The care of cacti in the aquarium does not differ from cultivating their fellows on the windowsill. Only pour lime-free water on the ground when it is almost dried out. To ensure nutrient supply, pour liquid cactus fertilizer into the irrigation water every 14 to 21 days from March to September.
