What water quality does the Gerbera need?
The delicate stems provide a large attack surface for bacteria. Use only a previously cleaned vase and fresh, lukewarm water.
Fill the vase so that the stems are no more than five centimeters deep in the water. Check the water level regularly and change the water more often, especially if it smells musty.
How are the flowers cut?
Gerberas need a lot of water as cut flowers. So that the stems can absorb enough water, cut them up with a sharp, clean knife. Every three to four days you should cut the stems again so that the water-bearing veins do not become clogged.
