Extract offshoots from cuttings
For this purpose you cut head cuttings of soft shoots in spring. Woody shoots are not suitable for this. Milk juice runs out when cutting. Dip the interface in lukewarm water for a short time to stop the juice from escaping.
Allow the interface to dry slightly before placing the cuttings in prepared culture pots. Cover them with cling film that you need to air once a day. This prevents mold growth.

For the Abmoosen you need a strong shoot, which is already slightly woody and not too thin. Cut it diagonally up to the middle. Carefully bend the shoot to create a small gap. Here you put a small stone in order to keep it open.
Envelop the interface with sphagnum moss that you moisten beforehand. Then wrap the cling film around it.
It takes about four weeks for roots to form. Now you can separate the offshoot and put it in a pot.
Propagation by sowing
Do not sow the seed too close to a tray and cover it lightly with soil. Keep the soil moist and set the bowl warm.

Tips
Violin figs are relatively easy to care for. Above all, it is important that the humidity is sufficiently high and the surface is not too cold. Otherwise, the houseplant will lose its leaves.
