Spring is the perfect time to share and rejuvenate the fat hen
Your stonecrop develops fewer and fewer flowers and threatens to verkahlen? High time for you to rejuvenate the perennial shrub known as stonecrop. This also allows you to easily multiply the plant. We'll tell you what to look for.
Share older fat hens and protect them from being sold
Fat hens can live for several decades, but tend to age as they get older. At the same time the flowering joy decreases, whereby you can counteract these signs of aging by dividing the entire plant. In addition, you hit with a division equal to two birds with one stone, because the measure serves both as a makeover and the multiplication.
The right time
The best time for this makeover is spring, and it is best to share the stonecrop before the first shoot. Ideally, you should do this at least every four to five years.

If you want to divide the stonecrop, you first have to dig up the whole plant together with its roots.
The individual pieces can be planted immediately at their previously determined location outdoors or in the pot.
Tips
