Most vegetables and salads can be harvested from your own garden at the earliest in May and June. Corn salad can be sown year-round due to its winter hardiness and can thus be harvested just a few weeks after the snow melts.

Corn salad loves a sunny spot and can easily be pulled forward in flower boxes and pots on the windowsill and then be piqued. In the fall, however, it can also be sown directly in window boxes and vegetable beds and winterized under the snow cover for an early harvest.
Tips & Tricks
In addition, balcony boxes with lamb's lettuce, which stand unused around the winter, can be used in a particularly practical way. After sowing the balcony plants in autumn, sow the corn salad directly into the flower boxes to harvest fresh corn salad as early as March.
