Causes of brown leaves on date palms
Although the date palm generally tolerates the sun well, direct sunlight can cause brown leaves. This is especially true when the palm tree stands behind a glass window, which receives a lot of midday sun.
Water the date palm regularly, but only when the substrate is dry at the top. Occasional spraying of leaves prevents browning when the humidity in the room is too low.
Tips
Even if date palms are not cut, you may of course remove brown leaves. But wait until the brown fronds are completely dry. Leave a stump of about four centimeters on the trunk.
