The blue cypress quickly grows in height and width unless it is kept in check
The growth of the bluish cypress per year
Blue cypress trees are rapidly increasing in width and height. Their fast growth makes them popular as a hedge plant. However, you have to cut back hedges from the evergreen conifers over the years over and over again.
That's how fast the blue cypress grows every year
If you do not use pruning shears, the blue cypress becomes up to 30 centimeters higher every year and between 10 and 15 centimeters wider.
Adult, unchecked blue cypress trees can reach heights of up to 25 meters.
Cut back the ornamental shrubs regularly. This will make sure that the plant does not turn brown and bald so fast. This is especially true if you plant the false cypress trees as hedges.
Tips
Cut back blue false cypress so that even the lower branches get enough light. The cone shape is particularly well suited for this. Then the conifers will not bottom down so fast.
