To plant the onions, the soil must be frost-free, the soil should not be too cold. Winter hardy tubers are allowed to grow in the fall. But make sure you have a suitable winter protection.
You should always plant perennials in spring. Anemones planted in the fall do not grow properly before it gets too cold.
Tips & Tricks
Cover hardy anemones in the first year after planting with leaves, straw or other dry material. Without winter protection, anemones do not arrive in the field until one or two years later.
