Aloe vera thrives best in a bright location. The leaf succulent plant originating from the deserts of Africa also tolerates the full sun on the south window sill or in the conservatory, where less robust plants would enter.
In the countries of origin and cultivation with the tropical and subtropical climate, aloe vera grows under the open sky. In Germany, the frost-sensitive succulent plant thrives as a houseplant on sunny south-facing windows, in greenhouses and conservatories. Even during hibernation, it should not be exposed to temperatures below 10 ° Celsius.
