Meadow plants in spring

Märzenbecher
From the burying on the ground in the ground, the Märzenbecher already drives its flowers from mid-March. This well-known early bloomer thrives wild mainly in moist deciduous forests and wet meadows. The endangered chess flower is one of the lily family. All lilies have underground storage organs, usually onions, with which they survive the winter and cast out already in early spring. gentians
In Germany there are about ten different types of gentians. Most of them have become very rare due to drainage of bogs and the fertilization of meadows and threatened with extinction. In the cooler climate of the ice age he had settled large parts of Europe and Asia. Today, the spring gentian grows especially in mountainous areas. There are only very few localities, for example in the cold Flachmooren Thuringia.
violet
In Germany, several common species of violets occur, all of which bloom blue-violet. Very seldom, however, do we find two other protected species of violets. The two-flowered violet is easily recognized by the yellow color of its flowers. With him always two flowers appear on a stalk. It inhabits damp locations in many mountains. Even rarer is the endangered moor violet, which differs from the other purple-flowered species by its drooping central petals, which do not cover the upper petals of the flower.
