Cheap rose plants for garden and pot from the supermarket, however, rarely hold what the promise. These are often quickly used products from abroad or the poorly salable board of rose nurseries or nurseries - in general, the quality is bad and the rose will not grow as you hope. Of course, exceptions always confirm the rule.

Modern rose varieties of good or even exceptionally high quality, which are in very good health, robust and long-lasting, are the result of years to decades of careful breeding. Rose breeders put a lot of energy and work in their breeding, which of course should be rewarded accordingly. The careful breeding, propagation and care of the rose and nursery schools not only costs a lot of work, but also requires the necessary expertise.
Make roses last longer
But whether expensive or cheap, cut roses for the vase, you can make longer lasting with simple methods. Above all, this means that you pay attention to a good quality of roses when shopping: These should be fresh, not dried and the flowers should not have opened completely. At home you should cut the stems diagonally and place the roses in lukewarm water - cold water does not like the flowers. Use a vase with a wide neck and change the water daily.
