Growing from rosewood - How to multiply the Palisander tree
The Palisander tree provides a tropical atmosphere on the terrace or in the room. Unfortunately, the light blue flowers in our latitudes are rare, as the non-hardy tree must reach a minimum height of two meters. Nevertheless, it is worthwhile to pull the decorative tree. Tips for growing.

A Palisanderbaum is the easiest to pull out of seeds. The seeds, however, you must buy, because the tree usually does not bloom and therefore do not form seeds.
Somewhat more complicated but also possible is the cultivation of rosewood from cuttings that you can cut from an existing plant.
Pull Palisanderbaum out of seeds
The best time to grow new palisander trees is the early spring in February or March. Prepare a seed pot that will fill you with potting soil or better with coconut fiber.
After sowing, it takes only one to two weeks for the seeds to germinate. Once the plantlets are big enough, pimp them.
Later, the young palisander trees are placed in individual pots and maintained as adult plants.
Palisander trees multiply by cuttings
Growing from cuttings is not that easy, but works quite often. They need drive pieces of about 10 to 15 centimeters in length, which carry at least three pairs of leaves. The shoots must not be woody.
Prepare seed pots with potting soil and insert the cuttings. Keep the substrate well moist but not too wet. It is beneficial if you put a transparent plastic bag over the pots. Then the cuttings can not dry out. Ventilate the bag regularly to prevent mold from forming.
In a bright, warm but not full sun, roots develop within a few weeks.
Tips
The Palisanderbaum is very good cut compatible. However, you should not cut it in the first years. Only when breeding as a bonsai do you have to tackle it earlier with the pair of scissors.
