The right season for the self-cultivation of carrots
With relatively little work, you can also harvest tasty carrots in your own garden. You can extend the season for carrots freshly harvested from the garden, if you already pay attention to the different maturity times of the varieties when buying seeds. So you can harvest with deliciously selected times of sowing from May to the onset of winter over delicious carrots from home-grown.
Crisp fresh vegetables from May to November
In mild locations, the first carrots can already be harvested in May after a cultivation period of about three months. With mid-early and later varieties and staggered selected sowing mines you can harvest the carrots directly from the ground until the first ground frost.
